Getting started
Do I need internet to use it?
Only to create your account, activate your licence, and pick up updates. Day-to-day billing, stock and reports all work with no connection at all — records are kept on your own computer.
Is there really no password?
Correct. You enter your email and we send a six-digit code. Nothing to forget, nothing to leak, and nobody can reuse a password they stole from another site.
How long does setup take?
Most businesses print their first invoice within ten minutes. The longest part is typing in your items and rates, and that is a one-off.
Can I import my existing customers and items?
Yes, from a CSV file. If your current data is in another format, send us a sample and we will tell you the quickest route.
Licence and devices
What is the eight-digit key for?
It identifies your licence when you activate the software. Activation also needs a code sent to your registered email, so the key alone is not enough for anyone else to use it.
How many computers can I use?
Depends on the plan — Basic covers one, Standard two, Premium five. Your dashboard shows which computers are active.
I am replacing my PC. What do I do?
Deactivate the old computer from your dashboard, take a backup, then activate the new one with the same key and restore the file.
What if my computer dies without warning?
Contact support with your licence key. We can release the dead device from our side. Your data comes back from your most recent backup, which is why you should keep one on a USB drive.
Does it stop working when the licence expires?
No. You keep full access to existing records and can print and back them up. Creating new documents needs a current licence.
Tax
Does it handle Pakistani sales tax?
Yes. Sales tax at 18%, NTN and STRN on the invoice, and further tax at 3% applied automatically when the buyer has no STRN on file. Supplies split by province for the return.
Does it handle UAE VAT?
Yes. VAT at 5% with your TRN on every tax invoice, and standard, zero-rated, exempt and reverse-charge supplies each reported on their own line. Supplies split by emirate.
Are freight and labour taxed?
Yes, and this is a common mistake. Both are part of the consideration for the supply, so they sit inside the taxable amount rather than being added after tax. Inubiz Book does this correctly.
Can it file my return for me?
Not yet. It produces the figures and registers your accountant or filer needs, in the layout the return asks for, ready to print or export.
Data and safety
Where is my data stored?
On your computer, in a folder you can open. We do not hold a copy. Nobody at Inubiz can read your invoices.
What if I lose the computer?
Whatever is in your most recent backup is what you get back. The software writes a dated snapshot every time you save, but you should also copy a backup to a USB drive or cloud folder regularly.
Will cloud sync arrive?
It is on the roadmap. When it does, your existing data carries across without a migration — the design already allows for it.
Can two people use it at once?
On plans that allow more than one device, yes, each with their own copy. Live sharing between them arrives with cloud sync.
